Sheldon Country Fair and Summer Carnivals

They are usually held on a weekend and we Lions are in attendance with our Side Shows as follows:

• Hook-a-Duck
• Roll-a-Ping-Pong
• Soft Cuddly Bear Tombola
• Crossbow Target Shoot Out

We also sell Plants and Hanging Baskets for the Garden at these types of events. Please feel free to come along and support us!

Annual Barbeque

In July each year our President changes and as Lions we celebrate this and enjoy a local barbeque with all our families at one of the Lion Members home.

Friends and families come along to this event every year and enjoy good food, drink, games and fellowship.

Raft Race

Each year we participate in Wellesbourne Lions Club Raft Race and participate with other organisations. Each year the theme changes and all participants and the other Lions and family members thoroughly enjoy themselves.

We cheer our team on the banks of the River Avon and then afterwards we hold our own Barbeque at the finishing line in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Father Christmas Float

Every year around November / December we help Father Christmas to gather his list of presents for all the good girls and boys. The Lions help to co-ordinate the switch on of the local festive lights at Sheldon Shopping Centre, where Father Christmas and his house are in attendance.

Then, throughout December Father Christmas and his house aided by his Lion Member helpers travel around the local roads collecting funds for good worthwhile causes.
